ARTIST OF THE WEEK: No.561 - HIGHDRIVE

Brighton five-piece HIGHDRIVE crash onto the scene with ‘Cherry’, their ferocious debut single and first release on Venn Records (home to Bob Vylan, Witch Fever). Produced by Guy Page (Coach Party), the track blends post-punk grit, shoegaze textures, and nu-metal tension into a fully realised sonic assault.

Before dropping a single track, HIGHDRIVE had already earned a reputation for chaotic, immersive live shows, supporting Do Nothing, TTSSFU, and Spyres across the South Coast. With nods to The Jesus and Mary Chain, Deftones, and DIIV, ‘Cherry’ bottles that onstage intensity into a wall of fuzzed-out guitars and driving rhythm.
