Scottish indie veterans Teenage Fanclub have announced their thirteenth studio album 'Do Not Dare To Dream', arriving on the 9th October via Merge Records. Alongside the announcement, the band have unveiled its opening preview 'Day In The Sun', a characteristically melodic new single accompanied by a video filmed at Black Bay Studio on the Isle of Great Bernera.
Following 2023's 'Nothing Lasts Forever', the forthcoming album sees Norman Blake, Raymond McGinley and company continue to refine the timeless songwriting that has made them one of indie rock's most respected acts. 'Day In The Sun' captures that enduring appeal, pairing shimmering guitars and rich vocal harmonies with thoughtful reflections on renewal, perspective and finding optimism in life's quieter moments.
The album's title reflects the band's grounded outlook, favouring resilience over easy platitudes and recognising hope as something discovered through everyday experience rather than wishful thinking. It's an approach that has long defined Teenage Fanclub's music and continues to resonate nearly four decades into their career.
