Rachel Chinouriri confronts the darker side of the party on ‘Broken chair’, the captivating third preview of her forthcoming second album 'I think I spoke too soon', out 16th October.
Premiered by Zane Lowe on Apple Music's New Music Daily, the track uses deliberately off-kilter production to explore her changing relationship with drinking and nightlife. What begins in the disorientation of the early hours gradually becomes something considerably more revealing.
‘Broken chair’ was written in Los Angeles alongside Lucy Dacus, whose reassurance helped Chinouriri recognise that she didn't need partying to validate who she was or wanted to become.
