North Carolina artist Rise Above Everything continues to channel faith, resilience, and emotional honesty into his music with the release of 'Fall On Me', an uplifting gospel hip-hop track taken from his latest project, 'A God’s Eye View'.
Blending introspective lyricism, melodic hooks, and self-produced soundscapes, his work explores themes of spirituality, healing, identity, and overcoming darkness through faith. More than just music, Rise Above Everything’s artistry is rooted in personal transformation, shaped by his own journey through depression and his commitment to helping others find hope and purpose.
So with the new single out now, we caught up with him to find out more about his origins and what has been inspiring him most over the years.

What was the first instrument you fell in love with?
I fell in love with the sound of the piano at an early age, even though I’ve never been great at playing the keys. My brothers and sisters would play quite often. I use my keyboard in the studio, but heavily edit the melodies I create.
What kind of music did you love when you were younger?
My parents and siblings exposed me to many genres of music from various decades during my childhood, as it was an integral part of our lives. I listened to Classical, Operatic Pop, Big bands, Pop, R&B, Gospel, Hip-Hop, and Country. One of my favorite memories was time with my oldest brother, Sterling, who had an iPod full of music. He would play the music and sing the songs.
What was the first album you remember owning?
The first album I had was Return to Pooh Corner by Kenny Loggins. I would listen to it when I went to sleep.
What is the one song you wish you could have written yourself?
Man in the Mirror by Michael Jackson.
Do you have any habits or rituals you go through when trying to write new music?
I pray, cycling through digital instruments and drum kits, searching for the sound I feel led to use for that creation.
Who are your favourite artists you have found yourself listening to at the moment?
Forrest Frank, NF, Julia Michaels, Michael Jackson, Justin Bieber, and The Kid Laroi.
If you could open a show for anyone in the world, who would it be?
I would like to open up for Forrest Frank, as it would be a great experience based on our journeys and faith.
What do you find is the most rewarding part about being a musician?
I can see how an experience and or situation is captured in a moment in song and track the emotional/life progression through the music created.
And what is the most frustrating part?
It is when I have an idea but can’t formulate it in a way that conveys the depth of meaning I intend. These are moments I trust the Lord’s timing as I step away. It is hard when you produce all aspects of the music without a team to have input and assistance in the creative process.
And what is the best piece of advice you have received as a musician?
I have been told to be true to who I am and not let outside pressure dictate my inspiration or creativity. And to trust the Lord’s timing as my desire is to glorify Him in all I do.
