José González announces first album in seven years

It was 2007 that we last had a full-length from Swedish-born singer-songwriter José González, but the wait is finally over as he has now announced his third album, due out next year.

The new record 'Vestiges & Claws' has been produced by González himself and recorded mostly in his home town of Gothenburg.

Speaking about the new record, he said, "There were a couple of things that enabled me to complete this record: one was curiosity, to be able to play percussion and do a lot of harmonies and also to produce and mix the album; the other was aesthetics. I love to listen to Arthur Russell and Shuggie Otis, to music that has been done mostly by one person in their solitary state.”

'Vestiges & Claws' is due out on the 16th February via Peacefrog, and you can watch the trailer for the new record and see the full tracklist below.
