The Knife plan to split up

Swedish electronic duo The Knife have announced their plans to split up later this year.

The group, made up of siblings Karin Dreijer Andersson and Olof Dreijer, plan to end their creative relationship once their current tour dates are complete.

In a recent interview with Dazed & Confused, Andersson said, "When we finish the tour now in November, we will close down, it's our last tour. We don't have any obligations to continue, it should only and always be for fun."

The Knife's final UK shows will be at the Manchester Academy on the 5th November with another at Brixton's O2 Academy the following night. When asked what plans they have for the future, she responded, "When we finish The Knife’s last run in mid-November, I will start thinking about what is to come next!"

The Knife released their last studio album 'Shaking The Habitual' in 2013, with a short EP of alternate versions of live tracks 'Shaken Up Versions' earlier this year.
