After spending the last couple of years working their way through the West Coast's garage-rock scene, California's L.A. Witch have finally completed the first major milestone of their career and released their debut studio album. And much like their work to date, their self-titled full-length is packed with screaming guitars, thunderous drums and a swooning yet sultry performance from frontwoman Sade Sanchez.

Sounding like a cross between Southern California soul and the soundtrack to the next Quentin Tarrantino film, 'L.A. Witch' is a far more low-key than some of their singles may have suggested. While tracks like 'Untitled' and 'Drive Your Car' certainly give out their energetic side, much of the release is soaked in this grungy attitude that conjure up lonely images of walks through the dessert and late-night tavern escapades.

It definitely has its own sound, which shows great promise for a band at the very start of their careers. And their flair for creating such a rich sound within their songwriting is an infectious touch. Hopefully we will be seeing a lot more for this trio in the near future.
