Phoebe Bridgers releases new single '7 O’Clock News / Silent Night'

Following on from a tradition that first began with her 2017 release 'Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas', Phoebe Bridgers has now unveiled her latest festive contribution.

The new single '7 O’Clock News / Silent Night' is a revised version of the Simon & Garfunkel classic 'Silent Night', and sees her collaborate with Fiona Apple and The National's Matt Berninger for the release. The track is available now via Dead Oceans, and 100% of the profits from this recording are being donated to Planned Parenthood, as inspired by the song's “newscaster” Matt Berninger, co-founder of the 7-inches For Planned Parenthood project.

Speaking about her new offering, she said, "Happy Holidays to everyone whose family has been literally or figuratively torn apart by Donald Trump. And to my racist, xenophobic, misogynistic, hypocritical family members, fuck you. Thanks Fiona, Matt, Simon, and Garfunkel.”
