Rufus Wainwright returns with new single 'Trouble In Paradise'

Having taken a break from pop music to release his operatic double-album 'Prima Donna' in 2015 and Shakespearian collaboration LP 'Take All My Loves: 9 Shakespeare Sonnets' in 2016, Rufus Wainwright has now returned to his formative sound with the release of a brand new single.

The new track 'Trouble In Paradise' is his first piece of new material since signing to BMG Music, is produced by Mitchell Froom, and is set to feature on a new soon-to-be announced full-length from the frontman, arriving sometime next year.

Speaking about his new record, he described it as “a sense of sophistication and an animalistic instinct. After the opera world and natural ageing, I can now sing at the full power of my abilities, and this record really shows that off.”
