Yukimi, the acclaimed vocalist and co-founder of Grammy-nominated trailblazers Little Dragon, returns with her latest solo release 'Get It Over', a beautifully introspective collaboration with Canadian experimentalist Saya Grey, known for her acclaimed NPR Tiny Desk performance earlier this year.
Following the success of her debut solo album 'For You' (released in March via Ninja Tune), 'Get It Over' finds Yukimi leaning further into vulnerability. Built on a fragile, slow-burning arrangement, the song delves into the isolating feeling of being lost inside your own mind, unable to reach out or engage with the world around you.
“It’s about being lost in your own inner world,” Yukimi explains, “unable to find a way out into the real world… too lost to reply or take on responsibilities.”
