Django Django continue the journey towards their sixth studio album 'Doveland' with the release of ‘Dirty Hotel Blues’, an evocative new single shaped by memories of travelling across America.
Following recent track ‘Cameos’, the song began with a piano part written by Dave Maclean’s brother John of The Beta Band during lockdown. After years of development, improvisation and experimentation, it eventually found its final form during the group’s recording sessions in Germany.
Inspired partly by Maclean’s experiences touring the US and a road trip he took as a teenager, ‘Dirty Hotel Blues’ brings another dimension to 'Doveland', a 12-track record produced with Nick McCarthy and Polly Ester.
