Battles announce new album 'Juice B Crypts'

Following on from the release of their much-loved third studio album ‘La Di Da Di’ back in 2015, Battles have now returned to announce the details behind their next LP.

The new full-length 'Juice B Crypts' will become their first release as a duo, featuring original members Ian Williams and John Stanier, is being previewed by the new single ‘Titanium 2 Step’, and is set to be released on the 18th October via Warp Records.

Speaking about their new record, John Stanier explained, “It’s about chord progressions, resolutions, returning home. Take that and throw it into a blender of modern electronic tools like glitching devices, or use melodic lines and take them and regurgitate them and pulverise the traditional stuff but at the same time try and retain harmonic relationships while completely smashing them up.”

While Ian Williams elaborated on their track, stating, “We loved making this record in our hometown of New York and cannot be more pleased that Sal from Liquid Liquid is on the track. It could not have been more perfect”.
