Be Your Own Pet return with new single 'Hand Grenade'

Having been completely silent since the release of their 2008 studio album 'Get Awkward', Be Your Own Pet have now made their long-awaited return with a brand new single.

The new track 'Hand Grenade' marks their first piece of new material in fifteen years, and comes accompanied by a vibrant new video, directed by drummer John Eatherly.

Speaking about the new offering, vocalist Jemina Pearl said, "'Hand Grenade' started out as a threat to the people who harmed me, that I will make them suffer as I have suffered, but the song grew like a mirror to my own grief process, through anger, denial, sorrow. In the end I gain my power back not through violence, but through self acceptance and rejection of the labels others might put on me. I define myself, no one else."
