Editors announce 'The Blanck Mass Sessions'

After releasing their heavily-praised sixth studio album 'Violence' last year, Editors have returned to announce the details behind a series of reworked renditions from their last full-length.

Dubbed 'The Blanck Mass Sessions', the band teamed up with Fuck Buttons producer Benjamin John Power, aka Blanck Mass, to completely reinvent their last record, adding a strong electronic element to their recordings throughout.

Speaking about their collaboration, frontman Tom Smith said, "When we initially approached Ben to work with us on Violence we gave him free reign to do whatever he wanted. It seemed stupid to try and instill any boundaries or direction to him as he has such a singular, authored sound to everything he puts his hand to... so we left him to it. The results of that process being this release. A very visceral version of our album Violence."

'The Blanck Mass Sessions' will be available on limited edition colour vinyl for Record Store Day on the 13th April, with a general release arriving on the 3rd May via Play It Again Sam. Check out the lead single 'Barricades' in the player and see the album's full tracklisting below.

1. Barricades
2. Cold
3. Hallelujah (So Low)
