Having been largely quiet for the last year, excusing her appearance on Banoffee's cut 'Tennis Fan', Empress Of has now returned to deliver a brand new single.
The new track 'Call Me' is the latest in a long line of additions for The Turning OST, which have so far included The Aubreys' 'Getting Better (Otherwise)', Pale Waves and Lawrence Rothman collaboration 'SkinDeepSkyHighHeartWide', the Soccer Mommy track 'Feed' and Courtney Love's 'Mother'.
Co-writer of the song Lawrence Rothman said, “When writing the track with Lorely, Yves and I had the idea of writing something that was dreamy and processional; the movie’s swan song. it became a track that Floria Sigismondi used on set a lot to set the mood when shooting the scenes of the dreamlike limbo that the ghost Ms. Jessel is trapped in.”
The Turning is set to hit cinemas on the 24th January, the same date as the soundtrack's release, and you can check out 'Call Me' in the player below.
