Hayden Thorpe unveils new single 'Golden Ratio'

With his highly-anticipated new album dropping in just a few days, Hayden Thorpe has now unveiled the final cut to be lifted from his forthcoming full-length.

The new single 'Golden Ratio' comes accompanied by a stunning new video, shot in the Lake District and directed by Juliet Klottrup, and follows on from the previously shared tracks 'Metafeeling', 'Parallel Kingdom' and 'The Universe Is Always Right' in previewing his sophomore LP 'Moondust For My Diamond', which is out this Friday 15th October via Domino Recordings.

Speaking about the new offering, he said, “When I was writing Golden Ratio, I landed upon it as a kind of simple devotional song to science. I see music very much as a replication of nature, the shapes and patterns that we perceive in music are found in all kinds of things like flowers and shells. Science and mathematics have allowed us to decipher this hidden order. Writing songs therefore becomes less about summoning from within and more about noticing what’s already there.”
