Rough Trade announce multiple 'Best Of' compilations

Legendary indie label Rough Trade have announced their plans to release a number of 'Best Of' compilations later this year.

The imprint, which launched back in 1978 as a side-project to the record shop, has been known for launching the careers of some of the world's most important artists including The Smiths, Stiff Little Fingers, The Strokes, The Libertines and Arcade Fire, and now its founder Geoff Travis along with a number of label representatives have hand picked dozens of tracks that best sum up the label legacy and put them across a variety of formats.

‘Recorded At The Automat: The Best of Rough Trade Records’ is due out in March and will be available as a triple-CD and single CD collection, as well as a quadruple vinyl and 60-track downloadable edition, all with slightly altered tracklists and liner notes.
