Viva Sounds announce second wave of acts for 2022

With their fifth anniversary celebration now in motion, Viva Sounds have unveiled the next wave of acts set to embark on this year's festival.

Pink Milk, L Twills (DE), Vargtimma, and I Am Soyuz (HU) will join the likes of 7ebra, Boy With Apple, Cloudsurfers (NL), and Hot Breath when the event returns to the bars and venues of Gothenburg, Sweden from the 2-3rd December later this year.

Tickets are available to buy here and you see the full list of new additions below.

PINK MILK
Hailing from Sweden, Pink Milk is a dark wave/post-punk band drenched in reverb, making occult music inspired by the 80's. The duo gained a reputation for their gloomy glittering sound and enslaving melodies, being praised by DIY, Wonderland, Kerrang! and Virgin Radio amongst others. The latest album "Ultraviolet" (2021) is displaying the same dark atmospheric reverb-filled sound, but also shows a new side to it – with inspiration from asian traditional music and unusual instruments. The Line of Best Fit stated that "Ultraviolet is a strong record that enshrouds you with its atmospheric goth-rock charm from the very beginning”.

L TWILLS (DE)
L Twills combines electronic sounds, computer music, pop elements, noise and avantgarde with expressive vocals. Using various analogue and digital sounds synthesis techniques, improvisation and sampling, she arranges complex compositions that subvert classical listening habits. Away from conventions, L Twills' songs sound like abysses, disillusionment and the power that can be drawn from them.

VARGTIMMA
Gothenburg based Vargtimma embodies the grandiose in the small through their romantic piano driven pop. In 2022 the band released the EP Tabernaklet; songs dealing with a variety of themes filled with languorous ballads about exclusion, longing and remorse. The band's music has been picked up by Swedish national radio and has attracted attention from music media, both national and international.

I AM SOYUZ (HU)
Combining a soothing sound with mesmerizing vocals, I Am Soyuz delivers a haze of folk music and dreamy lyrics. The latest album "Whipple" was inspired by multiple travels around the world and the Hungarian multi-instrumentalist has captured her experiences in the ethereal aura of freedom. With several international tours and big festivals such as Sziget and Campus behind her, the future looks bright.
