London based singer, songwriter, and R&B artist Taliwhoah teamed up with Complex UK to unveil her new single “Sweetest Escape.”
It’s the latest single from her forthcoming EP, New Wave Order, arriving at all digital retailers via Rostrum Records on November 10.
Artfully fusing R&B bounce, pop magnificence, and a sly tinge of island flavor, “Sweetest Escape” sees Taliwhoah turn up with her sexiest, slickest, and sweetest single to date. Taliwhoah describes, “Sweetest Escape is about a person, place or thing that manages to encapsulate an escape route from all distractions in the world. Through many experiences in life, I've had to find a way to escape to protect my piece of mind, my happiness, and my sanity; and I hope that when others listen, they too can find their sweetest escape."
It follows up the previously released single “Meds,” of which, The Line Of Best Fit wrote, “Her commitment to a ‘you can’t box me in’ mentality is demonstrated beautifully on ‘Meds,’ a blend of free jazz, reggaeton and smooth R&B distilled into a night-time bundle of hip-shaking grooves.” Meanwhile, Earmilk summed her style up best by claiming, "If Aaliyah was still alive, this is the type of sound she would be creating."
