Brian Wilson is recording a new album

Despite only just finishing what he called his "final" tour to celebrate the 50th anniversary of The Beach Boys' 'Pet Sounds' album, it seems that frontman Brian Wilson hasn't given up on the recording side just yet.

Speaking on BBC Radio 4's Today programme, Wilson announced that he has been working on an album of “rock ‘n’ roll classics” and it even looks like it could be out before the end of the year, but he wasn't ready to confirm any details yet.

The interview in question was to promote his new memoir, 'I Am Brian Wilson', which is due out on the 11th October. You can check out a short clip from that interview where he discusses the pros and cons of taking LSD at such an early age in the player below.
