Faith No More announce first album in 18 years

After more than a decade since they first split up and nearly two since they last recorded new material, Faith No More have announced that a new album is on the way.

In a recent interview with Rolling Stone, bass player Bill Gould unveiled some details about the band's recorded future, explaining that the yet untitled new full-length would be ready by April next year and that the band have planned a US tour to coincide with the release.

The record is being produced by Gould himself and will be released through the band's own Reclamation Records, and distributed by frontman Mike Patton's label, Ipecac Recordings.

Faith No More originally split up in 1998 but reformed in 2009 to perform a huge number of reunion shows. This will be the first new material from the band since 1997's 'Album Of The Year'.
