Abbey Lane shares new single 'Better Man'

Abbey Lane’s latest single 'Bigger Man' feels like the moment when hindsight sharpens into clarity. Built from fragments of old songs and reimagined into something bracingly current, it’s a track that dismantles the past and rebuilds it with stronger bones.

Where previous releases leaned on buoyant riffs and charged energy, 'Bigger Man' draws power from its balance of drive and restraint. Crisp percussion and wiry guitar hooks pulse with urgency, but it’s Lane’s voice that anchors the track, cutting cleanly through the haze with both defiance and vulnerability. She sings from the vantage point of someone who has already survived heartbreak, carrying scars but also a sharper sense of self.

Lyrically, the song grapples with the quiet weight of relationships that demand change at the expense of authenticity. Lane turns that pressure inside out, finding strength in admitting the fractures and refusing to shrink into the version of herself someone else wanted. The song’s patchwork origin mirrors its theme perfectly: taking pieces of the past and fashioning them into something that finally feels whole.

As a prelude to her upcoming EP 'Lessons Learnt', 'Bigger Man' sets the tone for a body of work rooted in reflection and resilience. It’s both a declaration of independence and a reminder that growth rarely comes without looking back. With this release, Abbey Lane makes it clear she knows exactly where she’s headed.
