Having made a strong name for herself as a member of The Kills and The Dead Weather, frontwoman Alison Mosshart has now unveiled her first solo single.
The new track 'Rise' was recorded in Los Angeles with producer Lawrence Rothman, was included in the closing credits for Facebook Watch drama series Sacred Lies, and comes accompanied by a self-directed video, featuring some of her favourite footage from a recent visit to LA.
Originally coming up with the idea for the song in 2013, she added, “I didn’t ever forget it. I remember right where I was when I wrote it, sitting at my desk in London, missing someone badly.”
