Allan Jamisen shares new single 'The Coalition'

Experimental artist Allan Jamisen returns with 'The Coalition', a politically charged single that blends industrial edge, trip-hop rhythms, and moody jazz flourishes into a brooding and thought-provoking soundscape. The track serves as a bold critique of the intertwined relationship between governments, corporations, and military power.

Driven by hypnotic percussion and haunting vocal delivery, Jamisen’s lyrics probe the murky motivations behind global conflict. His repeated line “It’s better than before” serves as a haunting mantra that reflects how violence and control are often disguised as progress. The song’s immersive atmosphere and shifting vocal tones evoke the suspense of a noir film soundtrack, layered with horn accents and electronic textures.

'The Coalition' was initially recorded in Phoenix with a young engineer offering free sessions, then later refined in Los Angeles with long-time collaborator John X Volaitis (The Rolling Stones, Tracy Chapman). The result is a track both urgent and cinematic, pushing Jamisen’s “industrial soul” aesthetic to new heights.
