With their highly-anticipated new album set to land next month, alt-J have now unveiled the next cut to be lifted from their forthcoming full-length.
The new single 'Hard Drive Gold' comes accompanied by a brilliant new video, directed by the band's Joe Newman, and follows on from the previously shared tracks 'Get Better' and 'U&ME' in previewing their new LP 'The Dream', which is out on the 11th February via Infectious Music / BMG.
Speaking about the new offering , the group's Gus Unger-Hamilton said, "'Hard Drive Gold' is a slightly tongue-in-cheek song written at what we thought was the height of the cryptocurrency gold rush. It’s the story of the ultimate childhood fantasy, the schoolboy who becomes a millionaire overnight, and the different interactions he has with people in his life from teachers to neighbours. How ironically you interpret its message is entirely up to you…"
