Amourie T. unveils new single 'Turbulence'

Sydney-based singer-songwriter Amourie T. explores the uncertainty of a relationship coming apart on new single ‘Turbulence’.

Taken from her forthcoming debut EP 'Clumsy', the track brings together understated indie-pop, bedroom-pop piano and intimate songwriting as she reflects on two people attempting to hold onto something that no longer feels secure.

Written in less than an hour during a period of intense self-reflection, ‘Turbulence’ captures the conflicting emotions surrounding that experience. But instead of approaching heartbreak from the other side, the song remains caught in the confusion of the moment, questioning how the relationship reached such a difficult point while traces of its earlier closeness remain.

Influenced by artists including Dodie, Lizzy McAlpine, Birdy and Beabadoobee, Amourie T. will expand on themes of love, uncertainty and personal growth when 'Clumsy' arrives on the 18th September.
