Animal Souls opens the door to a wonderfully surreal new world on ‘Colorful Land’, an imaginative collaboration with indie artist Ella Blame and the latest preview of forthcoming album 'THE ABYSS'.
The project of musician and producer Michael Fisher, Animal Souls returns after a quieter period with a record that promises to dive deeply into collaboration and synth-heavy experimentation. ‘Colorful Land’ provides a fascinating first taste, pairing his music and instrumentation with lyrics and vocals written and performed by Blame.
Those lyrics create a dreamlike landscape filled with violet sand, turquoise flowers, rapidly growing trees and an intriguing sense that reality has been turned upside down. Beneath its colourful imagery, however, lies a search for happiness and the uncertainty of whether this strange sanctuary exists anywhere beyond the imagination.
Produced by Fisher and mastered by Greg Mindorff, ‘Colorful Land’ introduces an intriguing new chapter for Animal Souls ahead of 'THE ABYSS' arriving in November.
