Swedish duo Anwai mark their long-awaited return with '4ever HD', a two-track release featuring singles 'SOMETHING NEW' and 'FLWRS'.
The Stockholm/Västerås-based project, led by Mons Lorenzen and Amadeus, first gained international attention with early releases in the mid-2010s, including sync placements on Degrassi: The Next Class. After a period of inactivity following their 2019 single 'Dreams', the pair reemerge with renewed creative energy.
Blending elements of pop, trip hop and indietronica into what they describe as “Trip-pop,” Anwai’s latest release continues to develop their signature sound rather than reinvent it. The tracks carry a hazy, textured feel, combining melodic sensibility with atmospheric production.
Created through a DIY process, the duo recorded the project across home setups, exchanging files between platforms before finalising elements in unconventional settings. The release also arrives after a significant personal milestone, with both members recently becoming fathers; an experience that helped spark their return to making music together.
With this new release, Anwai open a new chapter while staying rooted in the sound and creative partnership that has defined them for over a decade.
