While it seems like the Scandinavians are slowly dominating the world of pop, there are a great number of more local names looking to make their mark on the charts, and one of them is Brixton-based singer Call Me Loop.
Previously known simply as Loop, the frontwoman has already kicked off her charm offensive this year with shows at Live At Leeds and The Great Escape and now returns with her latest single 'Love The Lie'. Co-produced alongside Hight (Anne Marie, Lily Allen, Rita Ora) & Bantu (Camila Cabello, Maroon 5, Jason Derulo) ‘Love the Lie’ is the follow-up to her previous hit ‘Give ’n’ Take’, and looks set to give the likes of Dua Lipa a run for her money.
With its upbeat rhythm and smooth Spanish guitars, the track just breathes summer anthem. Call Me Loop looks to back up her latest release with her first London Headline show at Archspace on the 6th June, as well as Rize Festival, LeeFest and Vital Belfast later this summer.
