Having spent his formative years as part of successful Danish outfit Turboweekend, Morten Køie looks to take his new project into a bold and diverse direction with the unveiling of his debut single 'The End'.
Working under the name Mr. Koifish, Køie sees his new concept as kicking back and taking it easy, adopting a more trip-hop vibe and electronic tone throughout. Teaming up with his wife Sofie Hannibal, who was pregnant at the time, 'The End' is about new beginnings, and leaving the past behind to embrace the future head-on with energy and a light-hearted enthusiasm.
Speaking about the new single, the frontman said, "Mr. Koifish is the place where I can fit all my inspirations, personality and my sweet friends in music into one big family of sounds. And in this track I pay homage to my great love of trip-hop and I also indulge myself with a nice big helping of auto-tune too. Let’s have some fun!”
