Despite emerging almost out of nowhere at the end of last month, the buzz surrounding newcomer BABii is already extremely palpable. The Margate-based frontwoman was recently picked up by Iglooghost for his Diplo & Friends Radio 1 mix, and since then has now unveiled her debut single 'Phantom'.
With roots stretching well into the alternative synth-pop scene, 'Phantom' is a fresh and diverse introduction to the emerging artist. With its pulsing vibe and bright electronics, the frontwoman has managed to tap into their ever-coveted pop aesthetic that manages to create something unique while remaining completely accessible throughout.
The future is also looking very bright for BABii. She plans to cap off the year with a couple of support shows alongside Miho Hatori in both London and Brighton later this month, as she gears up to release her highly-tipped debut album 'HiiDE’ sometime in 2019 on Deathwaltz Originals, before already securing a place at the illustrious SXSW in the summer.
