ARTIST OF THE WEEK: No. 44 The Amazons

There have a lot of exciting new bands emerging so far this year, and The Amazons are one of a select few that look like they are going to become a far more prominent name in British music throughout 2015.

Despite only releasing a handful of tracks to date, the latest single from the Reading-based four-piece 'Junk Food Forever' has already been picked up by a number of national music publications, as well as receiving regular airplay on both XFM and BBC Radio 1.

Opening up like the beginning to an anthemic Led Zeppelin track, 'Junk Food Forever' is that incredible mixture of memorable lyrics and focused songwriting that keeps a song stuck in your head for days on end.

While it is still early days for the foursome, they have already been confirmed a number of UK festivals, including Dot To Dot this weekend, and will be embarking on their first UK headline tour in October.
