As the debut signing for Ed Sheeran's newly founded Gingerbread Man Records, it looks like the future is already set to get very big, very fast for Jamie Lawson.
Seen as almost a young veteran of the singer-songwriter circuit, Lawson has spent the last few years honing his craft in bars and small clubs up and down the country, but thanks to his new deal, has seen his profile explode.
After supporting Ed Sheeran on a number of international tour dates, Lawson's single 'Wasn't Expecting That' has been the biggest talking point for this rising star as international press approval and regular radio play has seen online videos of the track top over 1m views and landed him a #2 spot on the Australian singles chart.
While he still has a long way to go, he is certainly set up in the best way and will no doubt become a huge talking point later in the year. His self-titled new album is due out on the 9th October and you can check out 'Wasn't Expecting That' in the player below.
