ARTIST OF THE WEEK: No.426 - Gurriers

After breaking through on the live circuit these last few months thanks to support slots alongside the likes of Chapaqqua Wrestling, Enola Gay, Surf Curse, Been Stellar, and Goat Girl, as well as countless festival performances across Europe, Irish outfit Gurriers have now unleashed their explosive debut single 'Approachable'.

Channelling a raw and driven post-punk aesthetic that follows in the footsteps of IDLES and The Murder Capital, 'Approachable' makes for an intense introduction to their sound. With its frenzied guitar hooks, blistering pace, and captivating vocals throughout, it is immediately clear why this lot have been so well received from their live shows already.

Speaking about the new release, lead singer Dan Hoff said, “Approachable is a tongue in cheek anthem about the rising far right rhetoric all over the world.”

Gurriers are set to perform a headline show at Dublin's Collins Barracks on the 18th March, with a slot at 2000 Trees Festival already confirmed for the summer. Check out the new video for 'Approachable' in the player below.
