Following on from the release of his debut EP 'Mercy's Cut' last year, a collection that earned praise and acclaim from the likes of BBC 6 Music, The Quietus, Loud & Quiet, and Clash, Bristol's Bingo Fury has now returned to announce his plans for his debut studio album 'Bats Feet For A Widow'.
Previewed by the woozy new single 'Leather Sky', his first full-length looks to venture down that same avant-garde avenue he has been pursuing since he first emerged. With its warm and progressive direction, 'Leather Sky' kicks things off in dynamic fashion, exploring a wonderfully rich and immersive atmosphere as it plays.
Speaking about his new offering, he said, “Leather Sky is a difficult song to describe succinctly. It’s about being separated from someone against both of your will. Somebody close to me became very unwell and communication became restricted, almost non-existent. The song took shape during that period. A few of the surreal lines ended up becoming reality.”
‘Bats Feet For A Widow’ is out on the 16th February via tastemaking label state51, and you can watch the new visualiser for 'Leather Sky' in the player below.
