After breaking through with their stunning initial offerings 'Feed Me' and 'Television' earlier this year, fast-rising outfit MAGNOLIA are back at it once again to deliver their immersive new single 'Five Hundred'.
Following in the footsteps of Black Midi, Maruja, and Opus Kink, 'Five Hundred' makes for a stellar addition to their ever-evolving repertoire to date. With its broad and kinetic textures, eruptive atmosphere, and killer hooks layered throughout, they continue to shine as one of the more distinctive names on the rise right now.
Speaking about the new offering, the band's Adam Turner said, “Five Hundred was written early in our time together as a band, with minor changes since. The lyrics overall don’t have any major personal meaning to me, it’s a sort of story or journey about a rather emotionally dark subject, yet one I have only observed rather than experienced. That being said, there are a few lines which hold greater relevance than others and can be put to any situation and taken into different interpretations making it more widely resonant.”
