Manchester-based transatlantic duo samxemma have officially signed to September Records (home to Obongjayar, Kara Jackson, For Those I Love) and announce their new EP 'Hot People Make Hot Music', arriving on the 21st August. To celebrate, they’ve unleashed its razor-sharp lead single 'GOSSIP GIRL', a glitchy, addictive anthem that feels like a chaotic voice note you can’t help but send.
Built around serrated synths, scattershot hooks, and a wicked sense of humour, 'GOSSIP GIRL' revels in the thrill of talking shit and the irony of miscommunication. “It’s a track about knowing too much, saying too much, and loving it anyway,” Emma explains. “At the end of the day, I love gossip, and I love my friends. Thank you to my friend who told me about my other friend’s infidelity, and thank you to the cheaters for inspiring this song.”
