Written during a reflective moment on a balcony in Elysian Heights, 'Julia' captures the fallout of a real relationship. The song’s warm groove and conversational delivery mask the sting of disarming lines like “Just like a sunset you will disappear / You’re really beautiful while you are here.”
Best known for his playful alt-pop textures and production work with Toro y Moi and Uffie, Lokøy now leans into diaristic honesty and lo-fi intimacy.
