ARTIST OF THE WEEK: No.555 - Wet Market

New UK supergroup Wet Market have arrived with their explosive debut single 'Red Lantern', a wild, tongue-in-cheek critique of exoticism and orientalism, delivered through noisy, blissful chaos. Featuring Matt Tong (ex-Bloc Party), Jojo Khor (GHUM), Ed Riman (Hilang Child) and Helen Ganya, the project formed through ESEA Sounds 2025, a pioneering initiative supporting East and Southeast Asian artists in the UK.

Produced by Caesar Edmunds (St. Vincent, The Killers), the track veers between scrambled synths, serene vocals, and ferocious satire, a bold introduction to a group reclaiming narrative and identity through sound.
