ARTIST OF THE WEEK: No.558 - Dead Air

South London’s Dead Air return with a blistering new single ‘Black Flag’, out now via Fly Tip Records. It’s their first release since July’s ‘Fast Food World’ and the first taste of an EP due in 2026.

Clocking in at just over three minutes, ‘Black Flag’ is pure, pummelling defiance; a slab of groove-heavy alt-punk that draws lines between SOFT PLAY, Turnstile, and the anarchic chaos of Beastie Boys. Feral, cathartic and unapologetically raw, the track showcases the trio at their most unhinged.

With support already from BBC 6 Music, Radio X, and KEXP, Dead Air are fast becoming one of the UK’s most vital new voices in alternative music. ‘Black Flag’ makes damn sure you’re paying attention.
