Jaco Jaco, the project of Tulsa-born, Philadelphia-based artist Jacob Theriot, has released his first single of 2026 'Charade'.
Best known as a founding member of Sports, Theriot continues to develop his solo work with a sound that blends funk, psychedelic pop, and vintage-inspired rock textures. 'Charade' builds on that foundation, combining groove-led instrumentation with reflective songwriting.
Written and produced by Theriot, with additional production from longtime collaborator Chad Copelin, the track explores themes of resilience and pushing forward through uncertainty. It maintains the project’s signature balance of playful tones and deeper introspection.
The release follows Jaco Jaco’s 2025 album 'Gremlin', which received support from outlets including Spin, KEXP, and NPR. With 'Charade', he expands his creative world further, continuing to merge colourful, offbeat sonics with thoughtful lyrical ideas.
