ARTIST OF THE WEEK: No.579 - Little Grandad

London four-piece Little Grandad have officially unveiled their first recorded material, releasing debut tracks 'Sleepwalking' and 'Unmasked' via Communion Music.

Produced by Kev Jones at The Church Studios and Communion Studios, the songs arrive following the band’s sold-out headline show at 100 Club, an early milestone for a group already generating serious word-of-mouth momentum across the UK live circuit.

Built around brothers Jack and Harry Lower, Little Grandad channel a loose, unpredictable chemistry that pulls from Americana, scrappy indie-rock and slacker influences without settling comfortably into any one lane. Their music feels gloriously unstable in the best possible way; chaotic, emotional and constantly on the verge of falling apart while somehow holding together through sheer instinct.

The band’s rise has been rapid. After forming properly in early 2025 alongside guitarist/trumpeter Ned Ashcroft and drummer Jimmy Brennan, they quickly built a reputation through relentless touring and sweaty grassroots shows centred around London institutions like The Windmill in Brixton.

With summer festivals ahead and a trio of London residency dates lined up for July, Little Grandad already sound like a band outgrowing the underground in real time.
