ARTIST OF THE WEEK: No.583 - Mouth Ulcers

One of the UK’s most exciting new alternative bands, Mouth Ulcers, have unveiled their captivating new single ‘Space’, offering another striking glimpse into their forthcoming debut EP 'Silent Pictures', due on the 10th July via LAB Records.

Emerging from London’s thriving underground scene, the quartet have quickly become one of the most talked-about names in contemporary post-punk and gothic rock. Their latest release further demonstrates why. Built around brooding basslines, shimmering guitars and evocative vocals, ‘Space’ balances darkness and beauty in equal measure, creating an atmosphere that feels both intimate and cinematic.

Since forming in 2025, Mouth Ulcers have generated significant momentum, earning support from major tastemakers including BBC Radio 1, BBC 6 Music, Radio X and KEXP, while attracting praise from leading music publications such as The Line of Best Fit, So Young and Louder Than War.

Their rise has been nothing short of remarkable. Following a series of sold-out performances in the UK and Europe, the band are now embarking on a busy festival season while continuing to establish themselves as one of the defining voices of a new wave of gothic-inspired alternative music.
