Beck announces new album 'Ride Lonesome'

Beck has confirmed details of 'Ride Lonesome', his first full-length collection of new material since the release of 'Hyperspace'. The record arrives on the 18th September and reunites the songwriter with several long-time collaborators responsible for some of the most celebrated moments in his catalogue.

Alongside the announcement comes new track 'In The Night', a reflective and understated piece accompanied by a cinematic video starring acclaimed French actor Denis Lavant. The song follows recent single and title track Ride Lonesome, continuing to reveal an album that leans into rich arrangements and spacious production.

The sessions saw Beck return to United Studios in Hollywood alongside musicians Smokey Hormel, Joey Waronker, Justin Meldal-Johnsen, Roger Joseph Manning Jr. and Jason Falkner, while long-time collaborator Nigel Godrich returned to handle mixing duties.

According to Beck, revisiting familiar creative partnerships brought both comfort and discovery, with the sessions uncovering fresh emotional territory while building on a musical connection developed over decades.
