BENEE unveils new single 'Underwater'

Alt-pop trailblazer BENEE returns with her latest offering 'Underwater', a dreamlike plunge into anxiety, emotional disconnect, and the hidden weight behind a seemingly effortless surface. Out now via Republic Records, the track serves as the latest preview of her upcoming sophomore album 'Ur An Angel I’m Just Particles', arriving on the 7th November.

Built on glitchy, hyper-pop flourishes and ambient textures, 'Underwater' juxtaposes sonic lightness with lyrical heaviness. “This one’s about how far from the surface we can feel,” BENEE shares. “It’s heavy, but in a way that I think will resonate for people who don’t always feel seen.”

The single follows previous releases 'Cinnamon', 'Sad Boiii', 'Animal', and 'Off The Rails' as anticipation builds for what promises to be BENEE’s most personal and existentially charged body of work yet.
