Billy Reeves drops new single 'angel dust'

Melbourne producer and audio engineer Billy Reeves returns with striking new single ‘angel dust’, a deeply atmospheric release that marks a bold shift away from the underground hip-hop world where he first built his reputation.

Serving as the first glimpse into his upcoming album 'holy motors', the track introduces a darker and more immersive electronic direction shaped by cinematic IDM, ambient textures and intricate sound design. Built without traditional vocals, ‘angel dust’ instead leans heavily into mood and detail, layering glitch-driven rhythms with towering synth work to create an expansive late-night listening experience.

After spending the past five years experimenting behind the scenes, Reeves has emerged with a completely reimagined artistic identity rooted in atmosphere and emotional depth. The release reflects both his technical background in audio engineering and his growing interest in visual storytelling, with the artist also currently directing the short film The Overthinker.
