Following on from the release of his much-loved debut LP 'Human Beauty' in 2020, London-based singer and songwriter Joseph Hughes aka The Birthday Letters has now returned to deliver his eagerly-awaited follow-up 'Yearning For Vitalists'.
Much like what we have heard from the frontman so far, 'Yearning For Vitalists' sees him explore more of the dense and enigmatic folk-inspired direction he is known for. Throughout this new collection, we see him offer up a wonderfully broad and adventurous array of smooth and laid-back offerings that showcase his spellbinding songwriting as often as possible.
While the term singer-songwriter has always been synonymous with traditional pop sensibilities, The Birthday Letters has always looked to bring something more diverse to table, and that is exactly what we get on 'Yearning For Vitalists'.
