After months of teasing and cryptic updates, Blood Orange aka frontman Devonté Hynes has now announced the details behind his highly-anticipated fourth studio album.
The new full-length 'Negro Swan' follows on from his brilliant 2016 LP 'Freetown Sound', and is due to be released on the 24th August via Domino Recordings.
Speaking about the new record, Hynes said, “My newest album is an exploration into my own and many types of black depression, an honest look at the corners of black existence, and the ongoing anxieties of queer/people of color. A reach back into childhood and modern traumas, and the things we do to get through it all. The underlying thread through each piece on the album is the idea of HOPE, and the lights we can try to turn on within ourselves with a hopefully positive outcome of helping others out of their darkness.”
Blood Orange will make one UK headline performance to support the new release at London's O2 Shepherd's Bush Empire on the 29th October, and you can see the album's artwork below.
