Brandonrxse - 'ALONE IN MILAN'

7/10

Throughout last year, emerging rapper Brandonrxse established himself as one of the more inventive names on the rise. Turning out a flurry of rich and immersive efforts every few months, he quickly made a name for himself with a broad and passionate approach to his sound. And after spending some time away from the new music scene to figure out his next move, he now returns to the fold with his passionate new EP 'ALONE IN MILAN', a collection that builds upon that dynamic aesthetic he has cultivated so far.

Inspired by a solo trip he took to the Italian city, 'ALONE IN MILAN' almost acts as a diary of his recent expedition, taking in the sights and sounds of its bustling culture and etching it into this new EP. Despite only three tracks in length, his newest outing makes for a brilliantly diverse and expressive listen. Capturing a blend of heartfelt lyricism and shimmering production from start to finish, Brandonrxse breaks his year-long hiatus with some of his more alluring material to date here.

It has certainly been quite some time since his prolific streak, but 'ALONE IN MILAN' still manages to standout within his ever-evolving catalogue to date. Brimming with this rich and inviting texture that perfectly elevates his stellar vocal performance throughout, Brandonrxse keeps the vibes extremely high across this absorbing new delight.
