BRIT Awards statues unveiled

With the nominees for the upcoming BRIT awards due to be announced tomorrow (2nd December), the statues that will be handed out on the night have now been unveiled.

Designed by architect Zaha Hadid, the new bendy-chrome look is very different from the conventional shape we have seen over the years. And unlike last year's ornaments produced by artist Pam Hogg, each one of this year's works will be identical.

Director of Zaha Hadid Design, Maha Kutay, explained the look by saying, “the biggest challenge was to create something different within certain guidelines, yet achieving a result recognisable to the public.”

The BRIT Awards 2017 will be taking place on Wednesday 22nd February at London’s O2 Arena.
